The treatment process incorporates a multi-stage approach, including Chemical Treatment (Coagulation and Flocculation) to remove suspended solids, Biological Treatment (Anaerobic and Aeration) to break down organic matter, and Advanced Filtration for further purification. This combination of processes ensures that the treated effluent meets required environmental discharge standards.

    The Demineralized Water Treatment System, located in Poruwadanda, is engineered to produce high-quality process water at a capacity of 3 m³/hour for the paint binder manufacturing industry. This facility utilizes advanced Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology, effectively removing dissolved salts, minerals, and impurities from raw water.
  • Key Outcome:
    The system is designed to achieve conductivity levels below 1 µS/cm, ensuring that the treated water meets the stringent quality requirements for production processes in the paint binder industry.

SOFTENER FILTERING SYSTEM

  • Application: Hardness Removal of Production Water
  • Capacity: 85 m³/day
  • Overview:
    This Softener filtering System is designed to reduce water hardness for optimal production processes. It utilizes ion exchange technology, where Calcium and Magnesium ions are exchanged for Sodium ions, resulting in softened water. Pre-Treatment includes a Multimedia Filter to remove larger particles and a Precision Filter for finer Filtration, ensuring only clean water enters the softener. This system is designed to automatically regenerates using a brine solution, providing continuous operation.

ONLINE MONITORING SYSEM

REMOTE WATER ANALYSING SYSTEM

  • Application: Real time Parameter Monitoring of Chilled Water Tank
  • Overview:
    This Remote Water Analyzing System was installed at a chilled water tank for a glove manufacturing facility. The system provides real-time online monitoring using Wi-Fi and is equipped with high-precision probes and water quality testing units. It continuously measures key water quality parameters such as pH, ORP, TDS, CF, and EC, ensuring accurate and reliable data. This system enhances operational efficiency by offering instant feedback on water conditions, enabling timely adjustments to maintain optimal water quality for industrial processes.

It utilizes a combination of biological treatment processes, incorporating both aerobic and anaerobic stages, to efficiently break down organic materials, fats, oils, and suspended solids. This ensures the treated effluent complies with environmental discharge standards.

eLECTRO COAGULATION SYSTEM

  • Industry: Yarn Dye facility in Katunayake EPZ
  • Application: Industrial Dye Effluent Treatment Facility
  • Capacity: 500 liters per day
  • Overview:
    Electrocoagulation Unit with a capacity of 500 liters per day is designed for the treatment of dye wastewater. This system utilizes an electrochemical process where an electrical current is applied to electrodes immersed in the wastewater. The process generates metal coagulants that destabilize and agglomerate suspended particles, dyes, heavy metals, and other pollutants, forming larger flocs that are easily separated from the water.

    Locally designed and fabricated First Time in Sri Lanka
    Highly effective for removing color, reducing chemical oxygen demand (COD), and improving the overall quality of the treated effluent

WASTEWATER RECLAMATION

INSTALLATION WORKS OF UF & RO SYSTEM WITH PRE - TREATMENT

  • Industry: Glove Manufacturing Industry in Seeduwa
  • Application: Production Water Treatment
  • Capacity: 300 m³/day
  • Overview:

    This project involved the installation of both Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, designed to purify raw water by removing suspended solids, dissolved salts, minerals, and other impurities. The UF system serves as a pre-treatment stage, effectively filtering out larger particles and reducing the load on the RO system, which further purifies the water to meet high-quality standards for industrial use.
    In addition to the UF and RO installation, the project included comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations, ensuring a fully integrated and operational water treatment system.

  • Industry: Well known Bakery Production Chain in Sri Lanka
  • Application: Kitchen & Bakery Wastewater Treatment
  • Capacity: 12 m³/day
  • Overview:

    This project involves the installation of a wastewater treatment system with a capacity of 12 m³/day, designed to treat kitchen and bakery wastewater. The treatment process includes with a chemical treatment stage, where coagulants and flocculants are applied to remove suspended solids and reduce organic load.
    Following chemical treatment, the wastewater undergoes biological treatment, which includes anaerobic digestion to break down organic matter in the absence of oxygen, and aeration to further degrade remaining pollutants. This combined approach ensures that the treated effluent meets environmental standards, making the system efficient and reliable for industrial wastewater management.
